From Milan, born in 1983, after attending the Carlo Porta Hotel Management Institute in Milan and being guided towards the world of wine by a great figure in Italian sommellerie, Giuseppe Vaccarini, he won the competition for Best Junior Sommelier from Hotel Management Institutes Under 21 in Italy in 2001 and began his career in England at the prestigious Waterside Inn in Bray. After his experience at Sadler in Milan, he arrived in 2004 in Cornaredo, at the restaurant of chef Davide Oldani, where for over two decades he has held the role of maître sommelier. He is fully responsible for the management of the cellar and wine list at D’O and Olmo, and also collaborates with the chef on specific projects, such as a beautiful line of glasses for Cassina. In collaboration with ASPI, the Italian professional sommellerie association, he is a trainer for younger generations in important hotel management institutes such as Paolo Frisi in Cornaredo (MI) and Intrecci in Castiglione in Teverina (VT). The wine list at D’O and Olmo is mentioned as “particularly interesting” in the Michelin guide and has received awards multiple times from other industry guides, as has the dining room service.
