Bio

Tunde Pecsvari is a restaurant entrepreneur and innovator in contemporary food retail. Born in Hungary and raised among the vineyards of Lake Balaton, she moved to Italy in the 1990s, where she started her first entrepreneurial projects in the digital world before dedicating herself entirely to catering. 

Over the course of his career, he developed several gastronomic concepts in Milan, including Japanese cuisine restaurants and the Macha Café project, founded in 2016 together with Antonio Scognamiglio. The format was born with the idea of bringing an international model of healthy fast-casual dining to Italy, anticipating trends such as poké, matcha and Asian fusion cuisine in an environment with a strong design lifestyle. 

Under his leadership, the brand grew rapidly to become one of the most recognisable chains in the healthy food segment in Italy, with dozens of outlets in urban restaurants and shopping centres and several related formats, including Asian-inspired pokés and burgers. 

At the same time, Pecsvari was involved in other entrepreneurial projects in the Milanese restaurant industry, including Osteria Brunello, consolidating her profile as an entrepreneur capable of combining international vision, format design and multi-unit development in food retail. 

His entrepreneurial vision is based on three pillars:

  • anticipating global trends in food consumption,
  • build replicable and scalable formats,
  • combine product quality, sustainability and strong brand identity. 

Today, she is considered one of the figures who have contributed to the spread of the healthy and international restaurant model in Italy, transforming a niche trend into a replicable retail format.
