Bio

Luca was born into a family of hoteliers in Romagna. He grows up breathing hospitality, attention to people and respect for the time of others: elements that will become the common thread of his path.

In 2000, he organised a series of dinners by the sea. It was there that the deep connection with the beach was born and, above all, with its as yet unexpressed potential as a meeting place, experience and project.

In 2003, Batija opened: 5,000 square metres on the sand, free entrance, chiringuito for aperitifs by day, music venue by night.

In 2008 it took over two bathing establishments in Cesenatico, between the sea and the pier. In their place, in 2010, Maré | cucina caffè spiaggia bottega was born: a place designed to experience the beach beyond the beach umbrella. Right from the start, a simple idea of conviviality was flanked by dishes, ingredients and the culture of good eating, then uncommon in a beach context. A space that changes with the seasons, where you enter for a coffee and leave with a sarong or a towel, where an aperitif can become dinner and winter is part of the experience, not a parenthesis.

A few years later, in a corner overlooking the fishing boats of the Canal Harbour, QuintoQuarto took shape: a project dedicated to the piadina, reinterpreted with signature ingredients, to ennoble a popular food without distorting its soul.

His work revolves around an idea that is both simple and complex: to create places that have meaning, identity and continuity, capable of lasting and being remembered.
