Milanese by birth, born in 1955 and son of Rolly Marchi - founder of the Mickey Mouse Ski Trophy - Paolo Marchi is one of the most influential voices on the world gastronomic scene. After a long career as sports journalist for 31 years to The Newspaperfor which he covered the top events in skiing, football and sailing, the Olympics, the World Cup and the America's Cup, he devoted himself to culinary criticism, laying the foundations for a cultural change in the way cooking is reported. In 2005, the idea that changed his life: to realise Identità Golose, the first Italian congress on signature cuisine and pastry. Together with the 1991 establishment of the Young Restaurateurs of Europe for the Italian section and in 2016 for theTaste Ambassadors Association. In June 2009 the debut at London and in 2010 to New York e San Marinoas well as a Author's Guide to Restaurants in Italy, Europe and the World, one Guide to the World's Bubbles and one A guide to pizzerias and cocktail bars. His vision has transformed Identità Golose into an essential appointment for the gastronomy world.
