Born in Verbania in 1982, Francesco Cione took his first steps in the Piedmontese town centre at the Dallas Bar, the business his family has run for more than 40 years. After his studies and a series of experiences in Italy and abroad, he entered the world of extra-luxury hotel hospitality working for the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, the Hotel Cristallo in Cortina and the Carlton Hotel Baglioni in Milan.
Over the years, he has won several awards in the world of bartending with victory at the Aibes National Competition in 2008 and, three years later, third place at the Iba Calvados Nouvelle Vague International Trophy and the Cavalierato Giovanile award promoted by the Presidency of the Republic. In 2012, he won the international title Di Saronno The Mixing Star in Berlin. In 2015 he became bars&beverage manager for The Stage in Milan and, in particular, the Octavius cocktail bar, which was immediately recognised as one of the most important in the city and beyond.
Today, Cione is the Director of Operations Italy and Corporate Bars&Beverage Directorn for the Giraudi Group and its flagship brand Beefbar.
